While Chapman has a rich history, we’ve stayed in business because we’ve moved with the times and built on our skills over many years. Derek Overs
Director
With over 30 years experiences, Derek commenced his apprenticeship with E. Chapman & Son Pty Ltd in 1993. During that time, he has worked extremely hard to learn all facets of the business, and is now the proud owner of Chapman Joiners Pty Ltd.
James McNaught
Design Co-Ordinator
18 Years in the Joinery Industry and counting. James was trade qualified as a Cabinet Maker at 21 and took it upon himself to learn multiple aspects of the Industry, particularly his passion for CAD/Microvellum. Now at Chapman Joiners, James has taken on the role of Design Co-Ordinator, where he uses CAD/Microvellum to design and process all of our Joinery work to the highest detail and accuracy.
Reece Adams
Project Manager
Reece joined Chapman Joiners in 2023 & has over 15 years’ experience in the industry. With experience in both residential and commercial fields, he is a results-based person who achieves the highest of finishing standards and successfully manages any given project. He is dedicated to his clients and will go above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.
Steven Olsson
Workshop Manager
With nearly 20 years of experience, Steve commenced his apprenticeship with E. Chapman & Son Pty Ltd in 2004 and is an integral part of the Chapman Joiners Family. His primary focus is the delivery of quality workmanship. He is well respected by his peers, particularly the younger tradespersons who gain an immense amount of knowledge under his leadership.

Chapman history
Chapman & Son Pty Ltd. was founded in 1869, and the Chapman name has been one of Brisbane’s respected names in construction ever since. Our joinery and building services traded under one identity until mid-2005 when the Chapman family decided to separate the business to form Chapman Joiners Pty Ltd and Chapman Builders Pty Ltd.
